√ Spin-On Type Oil Filters
They consist of an inner cartridge filtration element and a metal filter housing, there are two different spin-on oil filters for different engines:
1. Full-Flow oil Filter - It is also known as a primary oil filter, and it’s widely used by many carmakers, a full-flow oil filter is designed to remove impurities from all of the oil used by a car’s engine before it’s pumped through the engine. Thus the damage from the particles in lubrication is prevented.
2. By-Pass oil Filters: It can be referred as secondary oil filter, it strains 5-10% of the oil in system by absorbing it from oil circulation and helps by filtering small particles that the full-flow oil filter can't and eliminates nearly all contaminants from motor oil. They are used in diesel engines.
